Surprises…they practically kill me! Whether they're for me or from me, I can hardly stand them. I hate not knowing what's coming. And yes, I'm that girl that buys a Christmas gift and gives it three weeks early because I JUST. CAN'T. TAKE. IT. When Carolyn called and asked me to photograph her sister's son as a Mother's Day surprise I was super excited. Carolyn and Christy (along with the rest of their family) are long-time friends of mine and I just adore them all, especially little Brody. He's as cute as they come and he's always so incredibly happy. We had a blast shooting and I'm totally in love with these images! Apparently, I'm not the only one who can't hold down a surprise. Carolyn (and Christy's husband Phillip) broke down and gave Christy her Mother's Day gift a day early and I couldn't be happier because now I can finally share the images. My absolute favorite…those little hands! Could he be any cuter? Nope, didn't think so. He's totally gonna hate me, but how could I resist those adorable saddlebags? This one's for my photographer friends. Chocolate Cactus Designs just released a new set of birth announcement templates and a few of my images of Miss Julianne are featured in the samples. How sweet are these?
I had almost forgotten how fun it is to photograph four year old girls. I love that age – carefree and finding their independence. Genna and I met Ella at her home near Lake Winnebago on one of the hottest days of the year. It was one of our last shoots together and it was amazing! Here are just a few images that I loved. Ella's daddy sent me a photo of her before our session and I was totally blown away by her gorgeous eyes and those long, thick lashes. All the mascara in the world won't give me lashes like hers. Isn't she such a doll? It's just a sneak peek for now, but wait until you see how we ended the session! It was an amazing evening. Stay tuned for more.
