i’ve had the opportunity to photograph her sister-in-law and her mother-in-law before and they’ve both got mad style so you can imagine how excited i was when erika called me about a family portrait session. i’d seen pictures of her darling boys and knew that erika herself is simply a knockout.
let me just say, erika, ryan and the boys did NOT disappoint. while our studio session seemed more like a 3-ring circus at the time, i assured erika and ryan that we had gotten some great shots. it’s always the sessions where the parents feel like we got NOTHING that we all end up LOVING!
how adorable are the boys in their aven pants?
this was the part that wore everyone out. get down, run around, get back up and pose. get down, run around, get back up and pose. get down, run around, get back up and pose.
but how cute are they? and they’re the perfect example of what to wear for family portraits – the mix of color, texture and pattern is flawless and i especially love the pop of blue that erika’s shirt brings.
and who doesn’t love a little boy in a plain white tee?
erika and ryan, thank you for trusting me with your family portraits and for hanging in there when everything felt like complete chaos. i always say that on days when i photograph little boys i can skip the gym….it’s a total workout, but so completely worth it. i loved working with you and the boys and can’t wait to have you all back again soon!
hugs to all,
